Missional Church & Me – ‘Cat and Dog Theology’

What would it look like for a disciple, indeed a whole church, to be defined by God’s missional nature? Based on the book Cat and Dog Theology, this workshop explores some humourous differences between cats and dogs reflected in our lives as disciples. If animals could talk…

A dog would say, “You pat me, you feed me, you shelter me and love me – you must be God. You’re my master and I live for your pleasure.”

A cat would say, “You pat me, you feed me, you shelter me and love me – I must be God. You live for my pleasure and to serve me.”

Just what do cats and dogs have to do with how we, as God’s missional people, join him in his mission? Together we’ll discuss the way we worship, read his word, see the world, and interpret our place within it. You’ll be surprised by the truth!

You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss together how to bring the mission of God (missio Dei) into the centre of who you are. For more information, or to invite our team to your church, get in touch with our WEC Reps.
